Mhmm all the time, it drains your body. Probably worse for me because i have a thyroid problem. In saying that i had heard that alphas dont need to sleep as much but, no one knows if that is actually true because in reality everyone needs at least 8 hours sleep. Older people dont seem to need to sleep as much.

Your species can certainly have a effect on how much sleep you may need too.

personally I don't sleep all the way through, but I think that has an effect from my feline personality, since we tend to take naps during the day and stay mostly active at night. It doesn't help both of my species are both active at dusk and dawn. As for after a shift? Defiantly, especially for me, I honestly freeze, so to speak after a shift. I can't move my body for a good 10 minutes after a shift because it takes so much energy. But personally I've learned that my cat shifts take a lot more energy than my wolf shifts do. But I think because I have two animals, I tend to take more energy out of myself, therefore I become more tired easier.
